Here are some printable tiers for each positional grouping in your upcoming fantasy draft.

Why do I, and so many other experts, recommend drafting with a tier-based system?

  • Players with similar values are now grouped together, albeit from best to worst in that specific tier. This allows you to find good value in each tier and understand that there really isn't much drop-off within this respective group of players.

  • Familiar with your league's typical "QB run" or "TE run?" This allows you to get a player you want before the clock runs out. An example straight from my rankings: Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the last of the tier 3 running backs. After him, there is a significant drop-off to David Montgomery and the rest of the backs in tier 4. If you want a player from tier 3, be sure you select someone before your time runs out. If you see Antonio Gibson go, followed by Najee, and you're up next, you better be taking Clyde!

  • If you miss out on players from a specific tier, that's OK! Don't fall into the trap of just jumping into the next tier. Remember, it's about scoring the most fantasy points in a given week, not so much how many points you can score out of your WR2. If you can get a higher-end TE or RB, jump into a different tier!

  • Print out these lists. Once each player gets drafted, cross them off the list. It will help you keep an eye on each tier, and not miss out on the players you want.

Let me know what you think about these tiered rankings, and if you find them valuable, print them out and bring them to your league's draft.
